What is Hospice Care?
When patients are facing a life-limiting illness, our caregivers provide
pain relief, physical comfort, and emotional support. Our
nurses, social workers, home health aides, chaplains, volunteers,
and bereavement counselors understand the complex needs of patients and
their families, and ensure their privacy, respect and dignity.

Where Can Hospice Services Be Provided
One
of the goals of hospice is to provide care wherever the patient calls
home. That includes individual homes, assisted living facilities, long
term care facilities, retirement communities, and inpatient units in
any of the Meridian hospitals (Jersey Shore University Medical Center,
Ocean Medical Center, and Riverview Medical Center).
